We just returned from a wonderful cruise to Alaska. We did the land tour first followed by a cruise. Definitely my preferred order. My group loved the size of the Coral Princess. It could get into the bays and near the Glaciers the larger ships can't get near. The staff was wonderful, so friendly and helpful.
Try the margaritas in the Crooners Lounge, they are the BEST!
The beds are incredibly comfy! We slept so well. We choose anytime dining and ended up asking for Carlos each night because he was so wonderful. He spoiled us. He had wonderful suggestions and was so kind. (Breakfast in the dining room wasn't as great, so we just ate upstairs.) The friends we traveled with aren't cruisers and even they were impressed. I think we'll all cruise together again!
*Apparently several people had respiratory flue issues on the cruise but we washed our hands a lot and were fine.
The cabin isn't large but it was fine. I really like the larger balcony on the older ships, you can really stretch out.
Glacier Bay is so beautiful and peaceful. We had a lovely sunny, relaxing day.
*The ship doesn't use any paper cups or even straws while in Glacier Bay.*
We hiked up a hill to a river and then rafted down. It was a bit of a hike but so beautiful. We hiked over tree roots and rocks, up and down hills in a beautiful tree canopy. We then rafted back down to our waiting van. So memorable!View All 44 Hiking Reviews
We went in May and only saw 1 whale back and we think her calf. But the naturalist was great and we learned a lot.View All 906 Whale Watching Reviews
Timothy met us near the ship with a very comfortable van. He asked ahead what we wanted to see and tried to meet all of our needs. We'd drive and stop often. We were together for over 3 hours and learned all about Ketchikan.View All 33 Potlatch Park Reviews
