Cruise 3/4/10 -10/4/10 Middle East.I expected a good cruise having cruised with Costa 8 years ago and enjoyed the experience. The ship maybe new and glossy, but it lacks the class, food and entertainment high standards of Royal Carribbean on Celebrity X. It is a large ship but has no cinema (expect for a 4D one that you have to pay for). There are only 2 pools on it and although it says that no children are allowed in one of them, there always was. The entertainment was dreadful, walked out the first two nights shows and never returned. It was all same old same old...... Starlight Dancers. If you do not wish to dine in the restaurant at night, there are no other dining options apart from pizza, which was horrible - thought Italians made good pizzas! The restaurant food was poor, choices limited and nothing simple. Vegetables were one potato and one piece of broccolli. On other cruises the Head Waiter and Assistant waiter introduce themselves, and are very attentive. On this ship this didn't happen. I do not like this charge on the account every day, a)because you do not know if the staff get it and b) because the staff do not need to go that extra mile. The secruity staff are rude and arrogant, and obviously think they are superior. The cabin staff were very rude when I used the bottled water in the cabin and didn't complete a form, I was not aware I had to. The entertainment staff treated you like idiots, not everyone on board has a holiday camp mentality. All drinks very expensive did not buy any alcoholic ones at all due to this, total rip off. The mini golf was a joke, the holes only being inches apart. Will never cruise with Costa again.The entertainment programme during the day was also poor, well it was actually non existent.
