I had a terrible room steward. He failed to clean my room the second day and never introduced himself to me when we first boarded. I had to call and complain to have my room properly cleaned. I had someone come see me but I think that either my steward has too many rooms assigned or there was poor training. Every time I called either the housekeeping or the guest service number it rang with almost no response. Additionally, the bed was very hard. My steward made up my bed after I removed all the soiled linens and left a plastic cover from some socks... In the dining room, the service was not good. The meals took too long. We waited a very long time to obtain drinks. We literally had 2 hour dinners every night..so much for free style dining. The staff was not properly trained. They would reach over me with asking permission or excusing themselves, they would disappear for long periods of time, they would take 30 minutes to bring drinks. We only have one server outside of Chinese specialty place that was amazing. A woman from St. Lucia who I gladly wrote a review for on the ship. She was the best employee on the Epic. I wish we could have been assigned to her table every time. This ship is expensive and large but doesn't have any laundry facilities??? How is this even possible. Then they have a promotion for $19.99 for a bag of laundry that rips because it is so flimsy and doesn't even hold very many items. I was so disgusted with the service of this ship that I asked my gratuities to be removed. I will not be sailing NCL. I will take my $4000 per cabin we paid on a different cruise line.
