This is a review of the 10 Day Southern Caribbean cruise that my partner and I just returned from. This is our 4th trip on Millie (2002, 2006, 2008, and 2010) and the first since her refurbishment. We must say she looks better than ever and at 10 years old has retained most, if not all, of her original beauty. The refurbishment went well with just some things that should have been done (i.e. the re-staining of the chairs in the spa area, stateroom numbering). Overall the ship looks great.

We arrived at the San Juan Airport at 11:30AM and received assistance to the buses. We went through the embarkation process quite swiftly. We were met with Champagne or Mimosas upon entering the ship and found our way to the cabin. All the carpet has been replaced and looks great. Additionally, the chairs and sofas are either new or all re-upholstered. We had a 2B balcony cabin (mid-ship) which was quite spacious with plenty of storage and a new flat screen TV. Lawrence, our cabin steward and his assistant did a great job maintaining the cabin. We will be seeing him again as he moves to the Solstice in June, just in time for our next trip.

The food was still very good, but we did see some cost-cutting, probably due to the current state of the economy. The dining room service was excellent at table 519 with our Waiter Wilson and Chico the Assistant Waiter. They were an excellent team and were happy to bring you what you want and as much as you want. We had our fresh asparagus every night. There is an everyday menu on the left that includes many old favorites that you can have daily and the menu of the day on the right. Ask for the Crème Brule to be heated, as it comes out cold. We had Escargot or Shrimp Cocktail daily; Rack of Lamb, Prime Rib, etc.. was on the menu too. Don't miss out on the French Onion soup. There was something on the menu for everybody -- and best of all, you do not have to pay extra, as you do on other cruise lines for quality food - kudos goes to Chef Michael Fernandes. Celebrity did start "Anytime Dining" and we heard mixed reviews as too many people had it and not enough dining room space was allocated, thereby creating some wait time to be seated. We prefer late seating, as we do not like to rush on vacation.

Our cabin (7158) had a nice location close to elevators and centrally located.
