This, overall was a very good experience. The first 3 days were a bit off for the crew and the passengers due to the previous cruise's Noro-Virus issues. We spent the first 3 days of the cruise with the public restroom doors standing open, the food service staff having to serve you at the buffets, no condiments on the tables, the upscale restaurants using paper menus and napkins, etc. Truthfully, we were very appreciative of the efforts to sanitize the ship. Our only complaint was a lack of communication regarding the procedures that were being implemented. After day 3, all of these things vanished and the cruise returned to normal operations giving a sigh of relief to the crew and the passengers.
The crew was exceptional. Given the life of a crew member on these ships, it is really. amazing that they can exhibit the positive attitude that they showed us on this cruise. Our cabin steward was a young lady from Asia who was absolutely charming. We did not encounter on staff member that was not friendly and helpful.
As with most cruises, the buffet food was just marginal and the variety rarely changes. It wasn't bad, it was just cafeteria food. The specialty restaurants were excellent. The food was good and the service was outstanding. Cagney's steakhouse service and food was particularly great. Make sure to book at least one visit to Cagney's on your cruise.
Perfect size for a 2 week cruise. The cabin was clean and well designed.
