We have cruised many, many times since the 1980’s but never did a transatlantic cruise. Princess had a great “Welcome Back” promotion of which we took advantage since it included one of my favorite cities, Brugge, as well as the tulip festival in Holland. It was such a good deal that our friends decided to go with us . Everything about this cruise was perfect! We had absolutely no complaints about anything not even the smallest thing!

This ship must have excellent stabilizers as I am prone to seasickness and one day we had hurricane force winds and really huge waves but I never got sick. While I always wear wrist bands, I did not need any medication. Other then that one day, the weather was great. (We got by with sweatshirts or sweaters and a light jackets. Layering is the way to go.)

The Captain was excellent!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony

Cabin DB

We were worried since our cabin was close to the laundry but we never saw anyone use it,

However, it would have been handy had I needed to iron something.

I loved the cabin’s location between the aft and middle elevators. Our room was quiet with a nice view. If you looked straight down you did see the top of lifeboats but so did all the floors above us. This was not a bother. The shower had shampoo and conditioner on wall mounted containers in the shower but had individual small bottles of body lotion. The hair dryer worked well. There were sufficient outlets for us.

The beds and linens were very nice and we slept well,

I would reserve room 618 again,

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We did rent a car from Avis to drive to Fort Lauderdale from Melbourne, Fl. Their free shuttle drove us to our ship. We suggest you go early to make certain you are on the last shuttle. There is a long line but it moves quickly.
