We chose this cruise due to the Free at Sea perks, which included the free drink package, 3 free specialty dining restaurants and some free Internet minutes.
The Garden Cafe was extremely crowded most days to the point it was difficult to find a place to sit without circling a few times. The breakfast and lunch selections were the same every day, but the dinner menu changed daily, although we didn’t eat at the buffet for dinner. It was too hectic to be enjoyable and we had some specialty dining options with the free perks. We ate at Teppanyaki, which was the hibachi grill. The food was good and the chefs were definitely entertaining. We also ate at Los Lobos. This was Mexican cuisine and was also very good. A couple of the highlights were the guacamole prepared table side and the queso. The last specialty restaurant we dined at was the Ocean Blue. I think this was a little disappointing due to all the upcharges. There was an additional fee to eat at the restaurant as well as an additional charge for some of the menu options such as the lobster tail. The food was good, but not exceptional. The remaining dinners were either in the Taste or Savor main dining rooms or at The Local. These options were good. The Local had the best raspberry cheesecake! The burgers were also delicious!
I did feel a shortchanged at the Victoria, BC port of call. The highlight of this stop was most definitely the Buchart gardens. However, since the ship came into port so late by the time we made it to the gardens it was dark. This was one of the most amazing gardens I’ve ever seen and it was disappointing we could only see a small portion of the gardens in the dark. It would be well worth it to find an itinerary that arrives earlier to this port.
The balcony room was well worth the money. The scenery was so amazing and being able to enjoy it from your private balcony was so nice.
The cabin was in a perfect location. It was the last room at the end of deck 15. The Observation Lounge was located a few steps around the corner with easy access to an ice machine and drinks. It was also just a few steps to the elevator. The buffet was one floor up. The downside was that is was a very noisy room as it was directly below the buffet. There was loud banging all day long, but due to the great location I would definitely stay in this room again.
This was a nice tour. It was a combination of walking and riding a coach from area to area around the factory. It was a 90 minute tour.View All 23 Boeing Factory Tour Reviews
