The ship and crew were fantastic, I have never had a Capt. walk and talk the ship as much as Capt. Tuvo. The Cruise director Matt was in full control of his staff and we all had a fun week. The shows were very good, the comedian funny, the magic show a little slow, but good. We ate in the Capri dining room any time and always had friendly table partners. The food and selection were very good. I love fish and there was a good selection here in Capri but also in the buffet. The port visits were ontime, and easy to get off or back on the ship. Since we had been to the ports before we just walked or took the local buses around town. Ketchikan was a little beat up in the tourist area, but Juneau and skagway were good. You need to visit the Mendenhall Glacier, because its going away very fast. The Alaska Museum is another great stop. Tracy Fjord was icy with Bergs and this prevented us from going all the way in, but seeing so many ice bergs was interesting also. In Skagway take the $2 local bus to the train repair yard. Walk to the Cemetery, and Lower Reid Falls. The falls are much better than the Cemetery. There was wildlife to be seen most everywhere, Eagles, Whales ( most were juveniles ) seals. Overall Princess and Alaska gave us a great time.
Like most interiors on Princess - small but very nice and efficient.
We took local bus to Totem Bite State Park. Very easy to do and great place to visit. Ketchikan tourist dock area is a little beat up. The local Museum was great
Took local bus to Mendenhall Glacier, its getting smaller, but worth visiting. The State Museum in town is very nice.
Please visit the N.P. stops through-out town. There is also great little trails around town.
Kind of short and late. The city is nice, but we just walked the Pier.
