Enjoyed a pre-cruise day in London sightseeing. Independent transportation to the pier via Stonehenge. Great couple days. Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. Luggage arrived in cabin in less than 30 mins after boarding. First time our cabin steward didn't make it a point to come and introduce himself to us. He did an adequate job. I had balcony cabin B701. Good location. I have sailed on Crown many times and prefer the Baja deck. Had 7:15 traditional dining in MDR. Since this was a port intensive cruise we were not able to dine there every night. Menu was fine. Same entrees as always with the exclusion of escargot. Enjoyed the Crown Grill one evening. It was delicious as always but price continues to go up. Enjoyed the buffet each morning. Selection was good. Disappointed the fitness center didn't allow passengers to use the treadmills until 8 am although I did understand. Difficult to use with early ports almost everyday. Love MUTS but too cold on this cruise to enjoy. However, I did ask for movie popcorn every night! You had to go hunt for it but I was able to get some. Ports were wonderful!!! My biggest surprise was the chaos getting on and off the ship at almost every port. Long queues, people upset, trouble getting gangways up, steep gangways, passengers getting on and off with luggage, etc. It was really a pain. I understand delays when it is a tender port but simply walking off should never be an issue. Overall great cruise. I would highly recommend. The layout and the size of the Crown works well for me.

Cabin BB

Nice cabin. I prefer to stay on Baja. The balcony was nice but really too cold on this particular cruise to enjoy. Bedding was more comfortable after the refit last year.

Port Reviews

Cobh (Cork)

Took train to Cork and enjoyed walking tour with Neasa - freewalkingtourscork.com. It lasted roughly 2 1/2 hrs. Very enjoyable. Rode the train back to Cobh and walked around before reboarding.

Greenock (Glasgow)

Independent tour with Rabbies Trail Blazer. Bobby was our guide and driver. Terrific day. Stop in Luss to see Loch Lomond. Quaint gorgeous place. Beautiful drive to see the Lochs and head over to Stirling Castle. Ended with a driving tour through Glasgow. Great day.

Invergordon (Inverness)

Quaint town. Just walked around enjoying the murals. Friendly people!
