We choose this cruise because of the itinerary and it definitely met our expectations. We enjoyed each port and would highly recommend it if you want to see major cities in the Baltic. We loved the MedallionClass on the Regal, simple to use and much nicer than the cards. The food was excellent in all venues though the burgers at the grill were bland and as a popular item could do better. The ship is gorgeous and well kept. This was a Baltic cruise and though we had great weather the outside areas could not be used because of the cold and wind so the buffet was always crowded and finding a seat was a challenge. The elevators were a problem, they were always crowded and for half the cruise at least 2 of the elevators were out of service making it difficult to get an elevator. Considering the common areas are on decks 5, 6, and 7, and there are 16 decks, stairs were not an option as it was an older crowd on the cruise. Entertainment and activities were well scheduled and well attended. The cruise director was visible and had frequent interaction with guests. Our cabin was truly a disappointment as we booked a mini-suite and Princess "upgraded" our mini-suite but it absolutely was not an upgrade. The cabin was directly under the Sky View Bar so there was a significant amount of noise from above. The other thing was the cabin had an extended balcony which sounds great but the covering was so large that it reduced our view from the balcony and definitely could not get any good photos from the balcony. We would cruise on the Regal again but would be more careful in our cabin location and make sure that any "upgrade" offered by Princess was truly a benefit to us.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony
Cabin MB M424
The interior of the cabin was great, plenty of room and very functional and enjoyed having a full couch. The bathroom with a tub was a nice change from the small showers in most cabins. There are two problems with the cabin, the first is it is directly under the Sky View Bar so at times there was significant noise from above and the other is though we had an extended balcony the overhang was extremely wide so the view was significantly reduced and not at all able to take any type of photos from the balcony. I felt like I had an inside room for photos and had to keep running upstairs to the open decks for any photos from the ship. The worst part is that Princess "upgraded" us from another mini-suite for this cabin and in no way is this truly an upgraded mini-suite. If you want to take photos or want a view do not book this cabin.
