Previous Cunard experience on Queen Victoria and sailing back home instead of flying.

The relaxation of being aboard for 7 days without having to get up and out for excursions. Looking for a truly relaxing vacation being treated royally. These are the reasons we needed a Cunard vacation. We were not disappointed.

Nothing, really nothing, went awry. The embarkation process was amazingly smooth. We boarded the ship and about a half hour later our luggage arrived. This proved to be just the preview of how things were to play out for the rest of the trip.

Cabin Review

Queens Suite

Cabin Q5

I prefer the back of the ship. Aside from that, this cabin is great. My wife LOVES the closet space. A large walk in closet with shelves and poles to handle the many hangers needed. There is also a closet when you walk in the cabin.

As you enter the cabin you walk into the bar area. A lit, glass enclosed section with Waterford glasses made just for Cunard. A bar area, looks like marble or granite, for teas, a coffee maker, underneath is a stocked refrigerator with beer and soft drinks, all included.

Next it's a sitting area. A desk and chair along with another cushioned chair with ottoman. A large TV hangs on the wall.

There is a bench at the foot of the bed. A glass table in front of the bench.

A side table with drawers on the wall underneath a large mirror.

A very comfortable king size bed with a padded headboard. Two night stands with lamps.

In the aforementioned walk in closet, there is a vanity with a large mirror on the wall.

There are British, European and American outlets throughout the cabin. A couple of each.

The bathroom has a little wall separating the commode from the sink area. A large Villroy and Bosch sink with mirror. The typical outlet for electric shavers. Shelving on both sides and spacious vanity area.

The fully functional Jacuzzi tub. Yes I tried it. The jets are strong. The multifunctional shower head is wonderful. A rain setting, another that deploys 6 moving streams that created a massage on my back and neck that was very relaxing.

Generally very spacious and roomy.

The deck was large enough for 2 chairs and one ottoman. A storage bin for the cushions.
