This cruise was part of a package we’d signed up for. 7 nights departing from Copenhagen to see the fjords and return to Copenhagen via Germany.
We should still be on board with three nights remaining but we disembarked early. Some people obviously love cruises. We didn’t.
We found the number of people onboard very overwhelming especially when eating in the Buffett section of the ship. The noise and the feeling of claustrophobia was at times distressing. It was difficult to find quiet spots on the ship to read or reflect. Considering it’s such a huge vessel, this was disappointing.
In hindsight I would have paid extra for a balcony. The lack of any natural light can become quite depressing. The room size was adequate and very clean and the bathroom also well sized.
We walked around Flaam. It was raining but still picturesque. Spoke to a farmer while he was fencing and thoroughly enjoyed the views, waterfalls and town itself.
Magnificent! Amazing weather. 23c. We disembarked and climbed a hill. We climbed around 500m which gave us brilliant views of the fjords and the two ships below.
Stopped off at a farm house for lunch. A truly tremendous day.
