Trip Details

  • Destination: Transpacific

This was the 2nd time we enjoyed this cruise, last was 2015. Great opportunity to see different things ashore. Pity that it was a bit rough this time but no one can control the weather!

Have sailed on Sea Princess many times & wish they would upgrade the televisions to movies on demand. Also be fabulous if she had the 24 hour International Cafe.

Legends for the Elite evenings just didn’t work for us , too crowded but lots enjoyed them.

Lots of choices entertainment wise & plenty of activities to keep fit & healthy (without gaining weight!) Cruise director & staff ALL exceptional, kept me as busy as I wanted for 5 weeks

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony B740

Usual Princess balcony cabin. A little on the small side but easier to stay balanced during big seas! Bed comfortable, some different pillows would be a great option!

Small bathroom but everything that you need is there.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

Have visited Suva multiple times, walked around & did a bit of shopping.

Pago Pago

Visited before & wanted to revisit a few spots.

Pearl Harbor

Such a memorable place to visit. We were able to take the boat over to the memorial this time but u able to go on the memorial itself.

Great excursion up the river, hula dancers & ukulele player/ singers on board, walked up through rainforest to Ferny grotto then returned to our bus, interesting information, lots of pretty views.

Cloud Forest Sanctuary

Great walk through the forest, was suitable for average level of fitness, walking poles very handy as potential to slip.

Also had walk about down near the sea where we saw petroglyphs drawn in the stones by ancient Hawaiian people.

Visited a coffee plantation & saw & smelt the coffee roasting & were able to taste & purchase if want to.

Helicopter Tour

Due to bad weather our helicopter was cancelled but we did get to go to the airport & completed the training. No problems getting refund, all done automatically without having to do anything. Got a free shopping bus to Walmart!

Tahiti (Papeete)

Beautiful area, we went for a big walk around town, bought some souvenirs, had dinner at the roulettes in the market area 2 minutes from the ship where they set up food vans & you can experience local foods & atmosphere!

Caught the tender over to Moorea and walked through the local shops.

Had the absolute BEST fresh coconut ever!!! Seemed like it would never end, sweet, cold milk & the flesh was delicious too. Bargain at 200 pacific francs = $2

Glass Bottom Boat Tour

The experience was great but have seen better coral in Australia!

The operator explained that due to cyclones a lot of fresh water damages the coral as well as it getting broken with the string waves. Some fish around & he did take us to a spot where we saw a big moray eel. On the way back he played ukulele & sang for us.

Tour was cancelled due to time restraints with departure. Got tender to port , walked around the markets, had a very expensive ice cream the came back to the ship by free bus then tender again.

Sydney (Australia)

My home town!

Self guided tour, ferry from Circular Quay around to Darling Harbour then got a light rail (tram) to Sydney Fish markets, had a lovely lunch & glass of wine then hopped on another tram to Central station. Went on the City Curcle via Museum station & got off at Wynyard as wanted to see the sculpture of the old wooden escalators suspended at the base of the new ones. Walked back down to the ship via places we visited in our past lives!

Got the tender over & walked around. Sat under the huge tree that takes up the whole park! So cool under it!
