5 star first: HAL has the best access to Glacier Bay. We cruised all the way up and spent time at the foot of the glaciers. ( Some cruise lines advertising GB don’t go as far into the bay).
The service was impeccable and the food was excellent. We ate at Lido for breakfast, in the MDR for dinner with one dinner at Tamarind and both NY pizza and Dive In for lunch. Drinks were mostly good with a couple not but not really a complaint. Wonderful to wake up & walk out on our verandah to spectacular scenery. Room was comfortable and our steward very efficient.
Now 3 stars: the entertainment was horrible at BB King’s Blues Club. Billboard On Board was nice. We were disappointed to find most presentations sales-based but I guess that’s across the board on cruises.
A verandah is a must! We saw wildlife from the balcony. Beds very comfortable. Adequate space ( I wouldn’t want any less).
We loved the rainforest.
No words. You have to experience it yourself.
