  3. Carnival Miracle
We have always found Carnival's Spirit-class ships (Spirit, Miracle, Legend, & Pride) to be just the right size to provide big-ship comfort with small-ship service and a superb design that includes ample space in all of the key common areas (lido deck on sea days, main show room, etc.). The Miracle certainly delivered on this cruise. The staff prided itself in outstanding service and delivered accordingly. Clearly a winning combination of talented, dedicated staff and outstanding leadership. We knew what to expect at the ports of call, having been to all of them many times. What made this cruise exceptional, however, was the time spent aboard, not ashore. The entertainment staff was talented, our room steward was superb, and our dining staff provided outstanding service. We had the opportunity to interact with several of the ship's senior officers, and it quickly became clear why service across-the-board was top-notch. This was certainly one of our most memorable cruises in the Caribbean.

We were looking over the top of a lifeboat, but we still had a substantial view. The room was well-sized and well-appointed.

  • Belize City
Wow! What a great way to get to an all-inclusive beach facility on an St. Georges Caye. The facility was great--good barbecue lunch and drinks were flowing freely all day. The staff was great. The highlight, however, was the unique transportation--a powerful boat propelled by twin water jets. Think giant waverunner with seating for 20-24. As fast, maneuverable, and thrilling as a jet ski. Once on the island, we were taken out twice to see this boat at its best. Turns and stops on a dime, providing passengers with thrills and a great soaking (or ten). One of our all-time favorite excursions!

  • Cozumel
Wish we could give this excursion a "6" because it was simply incredible. There is a sandy beach with chairs and umbrellas, plus several palm trees which provide nicely shaded areas to sit. There are also plenty of shaded tables/chairs and bar seating. Entry into the water--a reasonably well-protected cove--is via a stairway entry, but that didn't distract from the facility at all. The water was crystal clear and snorkeling was great--lots of different colorful fish of various sizes. There is also an infinity pool right on the beach. The all-inclusive food was uniquely presented because you could order anything you wanted from an extensive menu--any time and as often as you wanted. Everything was cooked to order! The staff also made sure that you always had a drink available, and they offered top brands in both liquor and beer. The club brought in two separate dance performances to entertain guests. In every regard, service was absolutely superb. To top it off, the facility is easy walking distance from Cozumel's two international piers. Our online price for an all-inclusive day at this amazing facility was only $39.00 per person--an incredible deal! This club has everything you need and want for an all-inclusive beach day. We will be returning on our next trip to Cozumel later this year, and are already looking forward to another day at this great facility with its friendly, attentive staff!

  • Grand Cayman
Having been to Grand Cayman numerous times, we did our own thing on this island. There is plenty to see and do, whether you book an excursion or explore on your own.

  • Roatan
We love just enjoying a beach day at Mahogany Bay when at Roatan. The facility is excellent--nice beach with plenty of chairs. Quiet surf makes for a nice day just floating around with a cool drink, but there are also plenty of other options (snorkeling, kayaking, etc.).
