We have always found Carnival's Spirit-class ships (Spirit, Miracle, Legend, & Pride) to be just the right size to provide big-ship comfort with small-ship service and a superb design that includes ample space in all of the key common areas (lido deck on sea days, main show room, etc.). The Miracle certainly delivered on this cruise. The staff prided itself in outstanding service and delivered accordingly. Clearly a winning combination of talented, dedicated staff and outstanding leadership. We knew what to expect at the ports of call, having been to all of them many times. What made this cruise exceptional, however, was the time spent aboard, not ashore. The entertainment staff was talented, our room steward was superb, and our dining staff provided outstanding service. We had the opportunity to interact with several of the ship's senior officers, and it quickly became clear why service across-the-board was top-notch. This was certainly one of our most memorable cruises in the Caribbean.
We were looking over the top of a lifeboat, but we still had a substantial view. The room was well-sized and well-appointed.
Having been to Grand Cayman numerous times, we did our own thing on this island. There is plenty to see and do, whether you book an excursion or explore on your own.
We love just enjoying a beach day at Mahogany Bay when at Roatan. The facility is excellent--nice beach with plenty of chairs. Quiet surf makes for a nice day just floating around with a cool drink, but there are also plenty of other options (snorkeling, kayaking, etc.).
