Having been on the Bliss for the transatlantic I was looking for a chance to sail her again before getting on the next new ship when I saw that the Pacific Coastal would fit in nicely to my plans. While I have been to the ports before on my first coastal cruise on the Jewel, there was still much to do and I liked the fact that there was an overnight in Vancouver.

Embarkation at the Wold Cruise Center in San Pedro was easy with dropping the luggage off at the front with the porters, getting through security and then checking in at the counter for my key card. I had arrived at about 11:15am and was on the ship getting my reservations for Prohibition and dining by 11:30 with my first drink in hand by noon. Note that entertainment reservations (shows, go carts, laser tag) and Vibe were being taken in The Social on deck 6 while the restaurant reservations were right across the hall in Teppanyaki.

One of our members in the CC Roll Call had set up a solo travelers lunch in Taste so we all met out there by 12:30 and our group of eight were seated by 1:00pm. Service and lunch were excellent and the rooms were ready close to 2:00pm. My mini-suite was ready when I went up there and my cabin steward introduced himself and made sure I had everything I needed. He was an excellent steward (and I wish I could remember his name but I didn't write it down except on the Vacation Hero Card) and while I didn't have a towel animal every night (and wasn't expecting them nor did I request them) the ones I had were the best.

Mid-ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

Great location just off the forward elevators. No real noise issues except for the people next to me scraping their furniture along the balcony on some days. This mini suite has a shower and it is a nice size with both a convertible to hand held rain head and jets in the shower stall.
