This was our first cruise and overall we had a great experience. We had a mini-suite and the room was spacious with a balcony. Our room steward was wonderful and really took care of us! The ship has a lot of activities that you can take advantage of. There are plenty of dining options and the buffet is HUGE. We do wish that the pool area was larger or that there was another adult pool on the ship, we didn't even use it because it was always so crowded. The aft sun deck was great. The waterfall/dipping pool was not working the first few days of the cruise, but once they got it fixed it was also very crowded. We had plenty of excursions to choose from, although transfers to the last one were delayed so cut into our excursion and shopping time. The ship staff does need to work on giving better information to first-time cruisers though. We felt lost a few times, especially with disembarkation. Overall we had a great time and would cruise Norwegian again, but think we will try a different cruise line next time just to compare.

Overall great experience

We just stayed one night the day before the cruise, but didn't have time to do any sightseeing.

  • Atlantis Resort
Today we did Atlantis and Swimming with the Dolphins. First off, they had everyone meet in the theater before the excursion. However, they had rehearsals for the show and they went over on their time, so the meeting started 20 minutes late. Then anyone going to Atlantis had to wait because the transportation was not ready for everyone. They then had us go outside on the pier, where we had to wait another 30-40 minutes in the HOT sun because the transportation still was not available. We then had to walk approximately 1-1/2 miles in the HOT sun to get to the transportation. They crammed us all on the buses and took us to Atlantis. They didn't tell anyone that if you were doing the dolphin swim that there was a specific time on your bracelet of when you were supposed to be there. If we wouldn't have noticed it we probably would have missed our swim time. I'm sure there were people who did.

The swimming with the dolphins was amazing! The staff was friendly and very informative. The dolphins, of course, were just the best. We were able to spend quite a bit of time in the water with them. There was a photographer taking pictures of your encounter and we had plenty to choose from.

However, when it came time to pick up your pictures the line was ridiculously long and they only had 3 people working. There were 4 other cruise ships in port, so you can imagine how crowded it was. It was very disorganized and the people at Atlantis didn't seem to care that everyone had a ship to board. First you had to go through ALL the pictures to find yours, then go to a different register to pay, then come back to the picture counter to pick them up. The staff was very rude to everyone. They didn't tell you that you could buy a digital code and then get your pictures online once you were back home. That would have saved a ton of time and money!

  • Underwater Scooter
The BOSS Underwater Adventure is a definite must! It was a unique experience and we had a blast! We were able to see a shipwreck and, of course, lots of fish. The crew was great and the divers made sure everyone was safe. When you weren't on the scooters you had a chance to spend your time snorkeling. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Definitely recommend!

We had a great experience snorkeling! We boarded a boat in Tortola that took us to a little cove. We had the opportunity to snorkel in amazingly clear water and there were even 3 caves to explore. We were then taken to a small island with a swimming area and restaurant and had plenty of time to eat and/or snorkel at our leisure. The captain and crew were wonderful! We would definitely recommend Sail Caribbean Divers for any snorkeling or diving trip!
