Embarkation was very slow in a very hot hall. Our cases came quickly and our room attendant was very efficient and pleasant. Our cabin was spacious very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean although the towels had seen better days. The ship was very clean and had plenty of things to do. I thought the entertainment was only mediocre especially compared to other cruise lines. The food in the main dining hall was ok but the service was extremely slow obviously not enough waiters for the amount of passengers. The buffet was good with a large choice. Even a fussy eater like me always found something to eat. The activity team were absolutely brilliant they worked so hard and they were very friendly. One lady unnecessarily took it upon herself to verbally abuse a member of the activity team (Chantelle), but she handled it very professionally even though the passenger was totally wrong. Enjoyed the evenings in quasar. The young gent who worked there was fabulous. He was nearly always on his own but he was still quick to serve you and keep the tables cleared. All the staff were extremely pleasant and friendly.

We had a major problem which I will not share with you but it had a huge impact on our cruise. We telephoned customer service about this but were really only fobbed off. A lady then phoned our cabin to explain the situation but this didnot help, maybe if she had walked to our cabin she may have understood why we were both upset. A brief letter of apology followed which was very brief to say the least. We put two letters of complaint in about the situation but again nobody came to see us and discuss our concerns. A lady telephoned me two weeks after we arrived home. I have no idea why she phoned as she kept telling me there was nothing she could do. She got quite irate with me when I suggested how the situation could have been handled. I didnot agree with her as to why it could not be handled in the way I had suggested so she just got more mad and didnot want to discuss any thing any more. Come on celebrity get your act together and train your staff to handle complaints correctly. I know the situation we were exposed to may never happen again but if it does I hope they take my suggestion into consideration. Maybe because we were only in an inside cabin that the service team did not think we were worth considering and if they just ignored us we might go away.

Just to compare cruise lines. While we were on a transatlantic cruise with Disney cruise line we went to see a show. As this show was only in a small room we could not get in. While talk to a member of the activity team I asked if the show was going to be on again as we were disappointed we could not get in. He said sorry but no. Before he left he asked for our cabin number. I gave him it and asked him why he wanted it and he just said oh no reason. The next day there was a bottle of red and white wine and a lovely letter. This was given to us after a passing comment and nothing to do with a complaint. What a difference.

Nice size very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows but the towels were not in good condition.
