We decided to take this cruise to see Cuba while we had the opportunity to do so.
It stared off on a bad note, when we were informed that that the 2 bottles of wine we bought and were bringing on board would costs us an additional $30. At no time were we informed that we had free onboard alcohol access to the bars/lounges. We found this out when we ordered drinks and tried to charge the drinks to our room.
Most of the staff was friendly and helpful, but there were a few who acted as if we were bothering them when we asked questions. Since this was our first time cruising with Norwegian, we wanted to make sure that we didn't miss anything.
We had 3 meals in the main ding room and for the most part had excellent service. However, we had a bad experience with 1 server who decided what we should order and he would not bring us what we wanted. We ended up leaving our meal. Specialty dining is definitely the way to go on this ship. Food/drinks and service were excellent.
Excellent choice of shore excursions, rooms and the ship were clean at all times.
Overall, this cruise was good with just a couple of bumps along the way.
Room was clean. Room was kept stocked with clean towels, beds made every day. Balcony was definitely the way to go. The attendant was very friendly and professional at all times.
