We cruise about four times a year, mostly with Carnival... We were given "special" recognition for a "Milestone" with them, our 25 cruise on Carnival... We can make an objective comparison.. First, the "muster" which we all dislike, was the most unorganized and delayed I have experienced. In addition to that we could not hear (legibly) any of the instructions. No one was around showing people how to put on the vest and MANY were on cell phones, talking in groups and one brought a beer....Next, we were scheduled to sail at 3:30... Muster lasted till after 4.. No sailing. Back to the room, waiting for the shops and casino to open.. No sailing.... It was three hours before we got under way. No communication; no explanation.. It doesn't seem like much to Carnival, but that was three hours out of our vacation. Many other "minor" inconveniences occurred, but time does not permit mentioning them. The day we had plans for Nassau, we requested room service breakfast so we could get out and start. Both my wife and I need food to take our morning meds.. We requested 8/8:30 delivery. At 9:15 I called and was assured it was "on the way"... An hour later my wife called and they were very apologetic, but again another two hours out of our vacation.... Finally, and most importantly, the casino is totally not what we expect and have experienced. I will not go into the MANY disappointments with the "Hosts".... hey seemed to cater to the "tables" and not put much attention on the "slots"... We spend more money than most table players and are much less obnoxious than some of them... But they made sure they were "taken care of".
All-in-all, I will avoid the Liberty in the future. And this is a shame as there were MANY people that went out of their way to make us comfortable... Carnival, "for what it's worth"......
