Sail Date: Apr 2019

This was my first cruise and it was wonderful.

We left from NYC on 28 Apr 2019, and I did not explore NYC prior to departing. (From the area and am familiar with the area.) The ship was clean and maintained that way through the entire 8 days of travel. The ship is huge and I was able to get my 10,000 steps in each day with no problem, and without any additional effort. We had a balcony cabin which was sizable enough for 2 people. Very comfortable. Each evening we looked forward to returning to the cabin to see the different animals that were created with the towels. Very creative.

I purchased the specialty dining package which ended up being a hassle more than a help. The food was fantastic, in ALL the restaurants and each provided its unique dining experience. I made the reservations prior to boarding. Being a first time cruiser, I was unaware of all the activities on the ship, and I ended up rescheduling the reservations based on the activities on the ship. *** Perhaps a "sample" itinerary could be provided to first time cruisers so they can have an idea of what activities are available on the ship. ***
