Sail Date: Apr 2019
Cabin: Interior with French Door (obstructed views)
Another sunny sunrise over the South Pacific as Carnival Spirit takes us to

We found the experience very enjoyable from the time of embarkation till disembarkation.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Entertainment was of a high standard and was excellent.

Our first port of call was Noumea and I was able to catch the hop off, hop on bus at a cost of $20. This was arranged through Ports and shore excursions.

Cabin Review

Interior with French Door (obstructed views)

The cabin was larger than expected and allowed us ample room to move. We were fortunate that we had a deck window, even though it overlooked the tenders it still allowed natural light into our cabin.

Port Reviews

Mare is a pristine island that has not been commercialized or allowed itself to be overtaken by the trappings of the 21 century.

A warm welcome provided by native dancers and singers greet arrivals to this beautiful tranquil island.

A visit to the tranquil waters of Yedjele Beach is a must. However tourists need to be mindful to respect local custom by following directions and not climb on rocks and certain other features.

Yedjele Beach is a short bus ride from the dock and the trip is easily organised onboard.

To supplement their meagre incomes the locals have established small stalls sell beads, clothing and other touristy type memento's.

Isle of Pines (New Caledonia)

Having been to Isle of Pines on several occasions we just did a walk around the immediate area surrounding the dock and there is ample to see and enjoy.

Only a short walking distance is great beaches which allow for snorkeling, SUP's and just generally relaxing and soaking up the local atmosphere.
