Travelled with a family group for special celebration. The cabin was a Deluxe Balcony Cabin on 7th Deck. Adequate but a bit shabby and in need of refurbishment. Bed and bedding poor and uncomfortable. Small shower room with plastic shower curtain in need of replacement. Cabin staff very helpful. Found food very average. Tried A la Carte steak house but not impressed, especially as the extra charge was far too high. Public areas on board during the 'Days at Sea' were over-crowded and noisy. The main restaurant was probably the best dining option as the buffet restaurant was over-crowded. The entertainment team worked very hard but it still felt amateurish.

Our main criticism was regarding the second week's itinerary which included Belize, Guatemala and Honduras as we felt these destinations were not fit for purpose. Unless you had booked excursions at least the day before docking, there was literally nowhere to explore independently or safely.

This was our first cruise experience but we were travelling with family who had all travelled on several different cruise lines previously, including Princess and P&O. We all felt disappointed with the ship's facilities and some of the ports of call.

Cabin Review

Disappointing cabin. Uncomfortable bed with poor bedding quality. Poor shower room with plastic shower curtain suspended by broken hooks. Poor quality furniture. Generally the cabins need upgrading. However, the cabin staff were very helpful.
