Chose this cruise on Norwegian Breakaway to try Studio Cabin as this was my first time going solo. Reached port about 12:30 and boarding went smooth and quick. Overall the food was average, I tried buffet for breakfast a couple times and eggs were always cold. Better option was Margaritaville for a hot made to order omelet. Lunch was ok in buffet and I liked fish and chips at O'Sheehans but wings were cold. I didn't do any of the specialty dining as I did all my dinners in main dining rooms, dinners were good but not great. Solo travelers program was good and our Coordinator, Courtney Long did an excellent job of arranging dinners and shows for us. I found myself going to Syd Normans every night as the musicians in the band were very good and they played classic rock which is my favorite genre of music. I also would spend some time in evening at casino to play some table games but there were so many tables that had a dealer doing nothing because the minimums were too high. The $10 blackjack tables were the only busy tables. You would think they would lower the bets to get more people playing. I usually like playing $5 three card poker but the all they had was $10.
Overall I rate this as an average cruise. The last cruise I took before this was in December on Royal Caribbeans Adventure of the seas and I felt the food was much better on that ship but value was better for a solo traveler on Norwegian Breakaway.
Cabin was a bit small for my liking but provided an affordable option for a solo cruiser.
