We have completed a Coastal California cruise previously and had such a nice time we wanted to take the cruise again. We loved the Island Princess. It is a smaller ship but great for those cruisers who like to meet people and enjoy a smaller ship experience. Lots of wood used which made it seem warm and inviting. Entertainment was really good with a standing ovation one night for one producation. There is a Sabatinis and Blue Bayou Cafe on board. We ate at Sabatinis and had a good meal and wonderful service. There were lots of activitities including Harmonica lessons and Quilling as well as bingo. The ports were one of the reasons we chose this cruise. With Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Astoria and the beautiful Victoria BC one can't help but have a great time on shore. I recommend Butschart Gardens in Victoria. Beautiful experience if you love gardens and Muir Woods / Saulsilito in San Francisco.
The inside cabin was clean and comfortable for the two of us. Plenty of hangers and space for us to store our luggage in the closet. There is one bed which can be dived in two twins if desired. There appeared to be two bunk beds which can be pulled down. I can't imagine having two children in that cabin along with two adults. However, for the two of us this cabin was fine and enough room. The bedding especially those pillows, was wonderful and we both remarked how well we slept. It was quiet in that room and we both slept through the night. The bathroom was adequate.
Santa Barbara is a lovely community with mostly mild warm weather. We chose the trolley ride which gave us an overview of the town.
Muir Woods are beautiful. Thre is a trail to follow along a creek ( eay walking) and just beautiful.View All 33 Muir Woods Reviews

We chose the HIstoic Astoria and Fort Clatsop tour--enjoyed the history tour at Ft. Clatsop led by a Park Ranger
We have been to the Butschart Gardens which were beautiful but this time chose the Abkhazi Gardens which were much smailler than Buschart but lovely all the same. This excursion included a Royal Tea which was lovely. The Tea was an English Blend and the three tiered tray included scones with clotted cream and jam and sandwiches along with little cookies and pastries.View All 61 Scenic Victoria City Tour Reviews
