We picked this cruise for the South Pacific ports. Captain Tuvo was outsatanding - very friendly with a great sense of humor. His attitude was reflected throughout the crew.

We had a mini-suite which was good, except for the love seat. We really enjoyed the extra room and balcony. The bath tub is a nice extra.Anytime dining worked very well for us, with good service in both dining rooms. Entertanment was good, but we missed the big production shows Princess used to have. We would have liked to had more educational type lectures on the many sea days. The entertainment in the Piazza was generally good, but the seating is very limited. Overall the cruise was very good except for a horrible experience with a Princess shore excursion in Somoa. The Island Drive and Tafatafa Beach excursion in Apia was not as advertised but the really bad part was the condition of the bus and the poor driving. Disembarkation was handled very well, There were a few delays but that was caused by Immigration, over which Princess had no control. We will try to sail with Captain Tuvo again.

Port Reviews

Maui

Comfortable boat, knowledgeable crew, saw numerous whales. It was the end of the season for whales but it was still good.

Bora Bora

Swam with sting rays and black fin sharks and then moved to snorkel over the coral reef. Good experience.

Honolulu

We booked the tour directly with the USS MIssouri and took the city bus from the pier to Pearl Harbor. We had only six people on the tour below decks. The tour leader was extremely knowledgeable.
