We hit a great deal with RCL on a less common 7 day sailing for this ship. Kids were free and the 2nd adult was 60% off, making the 7 day interior room total cost about $1400USD all in with a $125 stateroom credit included. We felt that even with some expenses and splurges through the week that this would be an inexpensive cruise.

The value for money was here, and we fully understood that this was going to be a barebones ship. With low expectations going in, we found that we were pleasantly surprised as the trip went on. Our younger kids enjoyed the splashpads, and pretty much everything else on the pool deck too.

Kids club was fantastic. The staff there were happy and very good with the children. Our kids wanted to go the entire week, which made it easy to drop them off in the afternoon during peak sun for a couple hours while mom and dad caught more sun.

The staff on this ship were amazing. Very personable, polite, engaging, and happy. I didnt find one crew member during the week having an off day, and you could tell there was pride in what the staff did.

The food was good. We found the selection and quality at the Windjammer/main buffet and the dining room both had good variety and quality. No complaints and the food was better than what I expected from reading reviews on this site.

Entertainment had good variety and all the usual parties and pool activities one would expact on a 7 day Caribbean cruise.

We would lean towards a newer and larger ship on our next cruise, one with a larger interior staterooms and more bells and whistles.

For this trip, we got some really great value here and had a fantastic family vacation.

Cabin Review

Interior
Cabin 1V 2023

The cabin was on deck 2, with 2 pulldown/Pullman beds for our 2 kids that were 5 and 3. We knew what we were getting into - this room was tight. 116sqft didnt leave much room when getting ready, but we would pop the kids up on one of the pulldown beds and give them some ipads while we got ready.

Storage is so/so, there are 4 drawers and hangers with a shelf or two. We put our luggage under the bed and didnt have too many problems with the setup. If it were 2 people only we probably would have felt a little more spacious. Add 2 kids and all the freight that comes with them and we really used anything and everything we could to hang/store and get our wet things drying.
