It was nice to have sailed on Crown Princess again, but she is showing her age!

We sailed on Crown Princess out of Fort Lauderdale (FLL) on March 27th, 2019 on a 10-day Southern Caribbean Medley. This was our third cruise on Crown and our 11th with Princess. We are Elite members of the Captain’s Circle because we sailed in full suites on 6 previous occasions (double cruise credits).

We arrived in FLL the night before and stayed at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotel. I would happily stay there again!

We took an Uber from the hotel to Terminal 2, which cost $8.40. Not bad! We got there at 1:00pm and walked straight in. Security was not a hassle and we proceeded directly to check-in and then straight to the ship. It was not busy at all. My only complaint about the embarkation was the usual sail-away photo-op, which gets a bit tiring after so many cruises. The photographers we not rude, but a bit too insistent for my liking. We stopped, had our photo taken and walked up the gangway.
