We chose this cruise based on the ports of call and that it was out of Tampa (closer to us). We got on the boat around noon and our luggage wasn't delivered until around 4pm (after sailing), so definitely pack swimsuits, etc. on a carry on if you want to swim, etc. right away. Our room was ready at 1:30, so that was nice to be able to get in to change, but if not, there are restrooms scattered around you can use.
The late dining (8:00pm) was a little late and often conflicted with shows, events happening, so I don't know that we'd do late dining again, but it was nice to not have to hurry back from excursions for the 5:30 dining either. They do have a "my time" dining that you can book and then each night make a reservation for whatever time you want, but it was fun to have a set table with others to get to know.
The windjammer food wasn't that great, and the food was often cold. But, it's an option as well.
We absolutely loved our excursions and could not have asked for better ones! We did the Maya Chan Beach Resort in Costa Maya (booked online not with RCC), the Jaguar Paw Ultimate Thrill Adventure (4wheeling, zipling and cave tubing) (booked directly with RCC) in Belize City, and the Premier 3-Stops Snorkel Adventure (RTF6A - booked with RCC) in Roatan. We could have done without Cozumel but it was busy with 3 other ships that day.
If you're traveling without kids, the Solarium was very nice and quiet (16+ yrs old). Right behind the little cafe in the solarium, there are doors that go out onto a very nice, quiet balcony. We didn't discover those until the last at sea day, but if you don't have a balcony cabin, make sure you find these early on!
Our cabin was great. It did not have any obstructed views. For us, the extra money for the balcony was worth it as if we didn't want to do shows, be with people, etc. we could hang out in our room and enjoy reading on the balcony.
