This cruise was recommended by a friend. Their exact comment was, if you've previously been on a big cruise ship, this won't be quite up to that. But it's a great way to see more of Hawaii without lugging your bags and doing so much puddle jumping.

The crew on the ship 9/10 was great. The food, 7/10 times was pretty good. The dessert 10/10 was mediocre to just plain bad, and that was so disappointing. Cruises are expensive, and you really want everything to be awesome. When it isn't, it's doubly disappointing. Both times I had ice cream though, it was fabulous.

Our excursions were fantastic -- Pearl Harbor, zip lining, even the trip to the Kona coffee place, which was really just a shopping opportunity. And the cruise-closing trip along Na-Pali was amazing!

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Cabins are small, but our location was fairly close to the stairs and only 1 or two flights from a great bar, the breakfast buffet and most restaurants. Sound proofing is pretty good, I slept really well, and above all else, GET A BALCONY! You'll love it!

Port Reviews

Honolulu

The Road to Hana was recommended, but we went the opposite direction. The road was windy and narrow, but the view was amazing. We stopped in at a vouple of art galleries/shops, did a little climbing and wandering, and had a great time.

Embarkation was a breeze. Everyone was helpful, the lines were short and things moved along quickly. Our instructions were that embarkation would start at noon, but when we arrived 15 minutes early and walked in, our process began right away.

One issue was the WiFi package, which never connected quite right, so dont choose or pay for that. Anyway -- you're on vacation, step away! And, when you're in port, connection is a piece of cake.

Cruise Director was a hoot -- super nice, entertaining and extremely patient when it came to ribbon leis!

All in, I probably don't need to do this cruise a second time. However, I enjoyed this adventure immensely and, with caveats would recommend it to others.
