If what you want from a cruise is an endless round of banal trivia quizzes (sample question: "How many blind mice in the nursery rhyme?"), kids movies shown on a huge outdoor screen at an excessive volume, karaoke nights and singalongs in the company of poorly dressed and badly behaved guests and indifferent crew, this may be perfect for you. However, don't expect any stimulating activities like port lectures, guest interviews or facilities such as a ballroom. The object of many of the passengers seemed to be to consume as much food and drink as possible while baring as much flesh as they could at all times of the day and night. There was no dress code enforced and some of the behaviour that we saw was at times appalling (people sitting with their feet on tables in the lounges and wandering round barefoot in the evening, for example) The atmosphere aboard was akin to a holiday camp or working men's club, in fact this was worse. On the last night of our cruise, there was a fracas in one of the bars leaving a young woman injured and resulting in several passengers being evicted from the vessel. We were sorely disappointed and this was not a cheap trip, by any means. So, if you want more conducive company, polite service and a degree of sophistication, look elsewhere.
