I was looking for a quick getaway that was affordable with my daughter and I over school break. We wanted to leave from Miami for the ports we were interested in which were Belize and Costa Maya in Mexico. When booking our cruise we were recommended in having our flights included and was reassured that they were responsible in getting you there. However, that did not happen. We did the online checkin, as well as, bags the night before but when we arrived at the PVD airport on Friday at 4:00 am I was told our United flight was delayed due to the flight crew being tired. The only flight available was a 10:00 am at LaGuardia so we were put in a taxi, hit traffic and missed that flight even with 15 minutes to spare but could not board due to bags not checked quick enough. We were rebooked to a later flight which missed out departure in Miami. Now the goal was to get to the first port which was Belize. We are rebooked on a flight to Houston where they put us up at the Hilton Doubletree which was awesome for short notice. Saturday, we depart for an 9:47 flight but were delayed again due to United needed more documentation to support my daughters passport for the international flight to Belize(which was not needed). We miss the next flight and are booked for the 1:15 to Belize City. We arrive through immigration and all passports are fine. We did not need the notarized documents for my daughter to be in Belize. Then, get on a passenger plane to Placencia. They put us up at Roberts Grove Hotel for a night to continue to our destination which was Harvest Caye. Sunday, we get a shutte to take us to Thunderbird Marina where we take a ferry to Harvest Caye. However, they would not let us get on the ferry because no one was notified of this change. So we are delayed again. Finally, we are able to get on the 9.00 am ferry where we meet immigration on Harvest Caye. We had to wait for the ship to dock and then return to checkin before enjoying our day at Harvest Caye. We are detained by Norwegian guest services. We were brought through the crew quarters and treated like criminals. We were ignored while staff checked our documents and staff was eating lunch while we waited. We asked how much longer we had to wait and were responded to rudely. After an hour and a half of checkin...we were brought to our room. The room was nice! It was a balcony and would recommend for more room. However, there was a restaurant above which created a lot of noise and chaos. Luckily we did not spend much time in our room. Food was good! Pretty consistent to our previous cruise a year ago on the Breakaway! Staff was very nice in Garden Café, not the chefs so much. I did not feel the ship could accommodate all those people with 1 pool available as well as deck chairs. Unless you got up at 6 am to reserve your chair, you were not getting one. We were unable to book shore excursions due to us missing the first 2 days. As for the rest of the cruise, we made the best of it! No one came up to us throughout the rest of our stay to apologize for the error! No responsibility taken or reimbursement for our trip. Disembarkation was horrible, as to meet at the Bamboo restaurant at 6:30 because we came in midcruise. We supposed to depart at 8:40 so we sat on a shuttle for an hour and a half. Then brought to the airport! Guest Services was rude with the departure and could care less about how our trip was!

Nice and clean! Would recommend a balcony! However, there was a restaurant above us which was very noisy and chaotic!
