I hate to leave such an awful review but those traveling on the NCL Dawn must be made aware, at least so their expectations are not too high. We stayed in a balcony Mini-Suite. Decent size room, bathroom had a bathtub which is great for kids, big closet. Those are the pros. Now for the cons: Carpet was smelly, my closet smelled so bad, I even had to wash the clothes I didn't wear when I got home. Bring antibacterial wipes to clean your closet shelves, maybe that will help. Warning, if you're a light sleeper, you will not sleep. The tub door kept swaying and slamming back and forth and I could hear everyone pacing back and forth and even coughing next door. Now for the staff. This is no Disney. They are very cold and cut throat. We were trying to squeeze in dining reservations cause the main (complimentary) dining was so bad (cold food, very rude staff, and took over an hour to serve us) and instead of politely saying there was nothing available they were rude. Like they didn't want to work that day. Maybe they were sea sick. They need training so they know how to make someone feel ok with the word "no". Something like "I'm so sorry ma'am, but we have nothing available." would be nice or even to act like you are trying to see what you can do. Instead they tell you Bluntly "Nothing available. Sorry". Their fast, cold response left me thinking "did you even look, cause you didn't even touch your keyboard". The complimentary dining would take 20 minutes to take our order, and then 40 minutes to bring our entrée. We ate COLD STEAK! so sad. I am sure we just had bad luck but this was awful and I hope no one else experiences this.
