We tried NCL for the first time as we found the itinerary from LA convenient as we live in Boise, Idaho. We have always cruised from the east coast but having moved to Boise, east coats cruising is too cost prohibitive.

Leaving Boise on a 6am flight to LA, we were on the Star by 12:15pm. Embarkation was smooth. We had no special perks and had an ocean view cabin so we were surprised how quickly we were on board.

The ship is lovely, easy to navigate around and all the public spaces were clean and bright.

Cabin O1

Our cabin was spacious, the bathroom was large by cruise standards and the separate doors between the shower, sink area and toilet were a nice touch. Hot water was plentiful and the water pressure was great.
