This was my first cruise and wanted to experience everything with my grandson who is 10 and my daughter who is in her late 30's. This boat had one of the best cruise directors, Cookie and the staff members were exceptional! However, this cruise was overbooked with children and teenagers and there weren't enough events to keep them busy! Also, very long lines for food, no matter what type of the day it was. If you wanted to relax, this is NOT the ship to cruise on, especially during Spring Break. The majority of parents were angry due to the lack of activities for the "tweens" to do and we basically were babysitting. Also, we had a very bad experience at the hot tub due to the fact that there was no one to supervise any of the tweens who took over both hot tubs. There were several children in the hot tub who would not get out and were very loud and aggressive towards anyone, no matter what age they were and no one did anything about it despite the numerous complaints that were made! This cruise ship has a great cruise director but the team needs to get it together for ships during Spring Break because it clearly was a problem - we couldn't even enjoy the evening movies due to the fact that the kids were in the hot tub splashing and not respecting others around them!
The cabin size was pretty good but we were above the "sewage" and luggage handling area and the smell was awful! We will never book on the side of the ship ever again. Staff members cleaned and were very courteous but the smell never went away.
There was no shopping and basically, everything that was on the ship was here at Princess Cays. Spent less than an hour here!
