We had an extraordinary experience on the Viking Star, exciting enough to book this trip on the Jupiter before we disembarked from the Star! And the Jupiter was fantastic, thus we booked our third cruise for 2020!

The Jupiter is a new ship and it had a few "new ship" blips; our volume on our tv was intermittent for 24 hours and the closet light wouldn't go off. Both of these were handled by our room steward Harias with speed and effectiveness. His service put Viking ahead of other cruise lines. Also, the delivery of the next day's menu for ordering vegetarian dinners did not always arrive to our stateroom in a timely manner. Marko, the dining room manager explained the situation but it was a bit frustrating.

Staff were exceptional. Our waiter, Budi was the person who took care of us on the Star. He remembered us, remembered our preferences and we were served dark rolls for dinner and our beverages choices were ready when we sat down. Vegetarian options were available, nicely prepared but admittedly the dining room manager was not as involved with us.

Cabin Review

Cabin deluxe veranda

Cabins are clean, functional and comfortable. We chose a balcony cabin at the end of the ship which allowed us to have a 180 degree view. Love it! Binoculars, Cashmere throw, Quiet Vox, water and snacks are included!

Port Reviews
