We chose this cruise because we wanted to check out the ship. We always purchase the drink package and three dinner specialty dining package. With those packages, our cruise is paid in full minus gratuities. We always leave an additional tip when visiting the specialty restaurants because service is top notch. This cruise we didn't enjoy the food at Jaime's but the service was great. We had a terribly meal at Chop's, which was a first for us, but they had us back for free on another night and the food was terrific. For reference, we have been on over 10 RC cruises and have never had a bad meal at Chop's. We were a group of four and sides were forgotten, steaks were all cooked incorrectly, shrimp was overdone and tasted like rubber and the sides we did receive were cold. They made it right and I am happy they did because we'll continue to eat at Chop's. RC, PLEASE play some music in the Solarium....for goodness sake, there are no kids so you can go all in and, instead, there is NO music. It sucks! Also, PLEASE do something about your pizza. It's terrible and since it is the only late night food available other than room service, it impacts us party cruisers greatly! Do go to the Vitality Spa and enjoy the smoothies and juices. I didn't care for the smoothie I got there but the juices were incredible. I started every day with one! Breakfasts are pretty bad on this ship too but the Windjammer staff was great and I always found someone to bring me a mimosa. My favorite breakfast on the ship was a pineapple, strawberry, cucumber and mint juice and a mimosa (while my husband had weird eggs). Must check out the tutti salad lunch on sea days in the main dining room...only runs from 11:45-1:15. They have the best desserts and buffet on the ship. They always had a flavorful curry and the caramel cake is to DIE for! Flan was good here too. No pool in the Solarium on this ship, a little disappointing and no music, as stated earlier. Loved the casino on this ship....the bartenders and the drink runners are all fantastic. Won bucks on the slots and tables here, which is always fun. The red party and white party were just okay. Karaoke is fun and the band Temperatures at Dazzles was fantastic!! Our favorite bars were Rising Tide and Trellis (went here every day for a before dinner drink). Oh, the specialty dining 150 was GREAT!!! That was my favorite specialty dining spot. The grey goose martini, bread, entree were the best. The fried cheesecake was off but not terrible. Give Harmony a shot! We all had a great time.

Cabin Review

Cabin Central Park View (no balcony)

This was our first central park view room and I liked it but wouldn't book a room like this again. I like feeling like I am on a ship and this didn't have the "you are on a cruise" feel. If you get motion sickness/sea sick, this would be a great room for you. There was literally no movement. Not even in the bathroom!

Port Reviews

Labadee

RC should have a donation bin for cruisers to donate to the locals. Also, the stray dogs, which were NO bother, would not even eat the meat from the burgers. What in the world is in those burgers. That was a bit concerning. ZERO out of 7 stray dogs would eat the burger meat but loved everything else. My stomach churned because I already ate a burger! Never again.

Falmouth

Went to Doctor's Cave beach on our own via taxi. The terminal to get a taxi was a little hectic but it worked out fine. $20 there/back. Beach was great! We walked to the Pork Pit and had a fantastic meal (more like a feast) for around $30. It was about a 20 minute walk and we were asked if we wanted to purchase pot the entire walk, which got annoying, but whatever....we were in Jamaica mon!

Cozumel

We took a cab ($11 each way) to The Money Bar. We LOVED this spot and plan to go back next time we are in Cozumel. Snorkeling was fantastic. I read about this place on a blog and it didn't disappoint. Crystal clear water, fish everywhere, great service from the restaurant (ordered lots of drinks because they were so good - the lemon daquiri was amazing and chips, pico and guac were tasty too), massage listening to the water for $53 (no joke, $53 for 60 minutes - totally worth it...do it) and lounge chairs were also available. There was no fee to be here and they do have a clean bathroom. Highly recommend.
