I will start off by saying that I have cruised Norwegian Gem and the Breakaway and never had a problem, it was delightful!! However, I just got off the Escape from the 7th to the 14th of April, and from the time I stepped on the ship there was a problem!!! I and my other 9 cousins and all the handicapped passengers waited 3 1/2 hours to get a wheelchair to get on the ship. Then I get to the balcony room that I thought was going to be so beautiful but it was not!! We had about 4 inches in between the closet and bed, which made getting into the closet every day quite difficult and painful to the legs and feet. Also, in my opinion and a lot of other people I spoke to the casino was not paying very much at all. In closing I just had heart surgery in December and this was supposed to be my very restful vacation, instead my blood pressure was through the roof and swollen feet with only 2 elevators on our floor which made for a lot of walking. I complained to guest services and they gave us dinner for 9 at one of their specialty restaurants which was nice but did not make up for what we went through. I have to say I will not ever take the Escape again, I think it is time to look into Royal Carribean.
