Both my wife and I are retired and experienced cruisers in our early sixties, having cruised on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines 9 times, Norwegian Cruise Lines 3 times, and Carnival Cruise Lines 2 times. That being said we love to cruise and still consider Royal Caribbean our favorite. This cruise has two at sea days and visits 4 ports. Embarkation was very smooth. We parked in the cruise terminal parking lot directly adjacent to the cruise terminal. It is well protected and a short walk to the terminal, $15.00 a day (well worth it). There are other cheaper parking lots further away but you have to rely on their van service to drop off and pick you up, and are less secure. Once we parked it took us about 10 minutes to go through the paperwork process. We proceeded to the buffet at 11:30 AM and were very surprised that there was not a seat available. I would suggest you try the solarium pool on the same deck aft ( deck 9) for a light lunch. Our stateroom was number 8554, a Junior Suite, located on deck 8 mid-ship. This was an outstanding location, very centrally located and not alot of noise from the pool deck, (9). Plenty of storage space which we did not even use all of it. (imagine that) Ports: Cozumel-(3 ships here) since we had been here several times before, we shopped the stores where there were lots of silver jewelry stores. My wife bought a silver necklace here and due to the competition was able to get a great price. We finished the day at Senor Frogs, a watering hole, and had a great time. Belize - (2 ships here) we did the Jaguar Paw cave tubing arranged through the ship with lunch. Very relaxing and the chicken, rice and beans and coleslaw was excellent. The Wet Lizard bar in port had my favorite beer and conch fritters, but don't go here if you are in a hurry (poor service). Costa Maya - (4 ships here) we did the tour of the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins arranged through the ship. We boarded a very modern bus for a 45 minute ride to the ruins. Tour guide Alvaro Sosa was excellent and he made the tour very interesting. (don't pay extra for a personally guided tour, and smaller bus,... this tour was excellent) Roatan - (2 ships here) we did the West End Beach Break with lunch at the Mayan Princess Hotel. If you like to snorkel this is the place to go, with a major reef within swimming distance. It was very crowded with other ships passengers also doing this tour (100 or so people). The hotel is gorgeous. Entertainment - was excellent but of course it will not appeal to everyone. Singers, dancers, comedians. I thought that the Elvis impersonator was outstanding, singing and dancing...he sounded and looked just like Elvis. Food - was excellent with desserts, Lamb Chops, and Lobster tails being the highlight. We did MyTime dining and reserved online 6:30 PM for every night before we boarded the ship . Much to our surprise we had the same waiter and assistant every night, which was great. We also ate at Giovanni's, a pay for Italian dining restaurant....outstanding. The staff, including restaurants, staterooms, cruise director, etc. were all very friendly and excellent. Jenna, the assistant cruise director was a dancing machine, never stopped.. Our only disappointment with the ship was that it does not have the application on the television that you can use to see your on-board expense account. This was unusual since most of their ships have this. It is easy to get carried away with your bill. Debarkation - we did self assist and walked off the ship at 7:10 AM. Very smooth. In summary, we had a great time and as I said in the title, we would gladly do it again!

Great cruise that we would gladly take again

Cabin Review

Junior Suite
Cabin J2 8554
Centrally located. One deck up and forward is the buffet, and pool. Three/four decks down and aft are the main dining rooms.Two/three decks down and forward is the theater. We did not need to use the elevators that much because of the great location.

Even though the pool deck is right above you, the noise that you will hear is from the people playing ping pong. It was hardly noticeable. The elevator bank is also near the room and you could not hear it at all.

Lots of storage space. Bathroom is good size with a tub shower.
Deck 8 Inside Cabins, Outside Cabins, Suite Cabins
