Summary:

Absolutely Loved the Edge. Modern, innovative, fun to explore. Decor and layout much like a more luxury Line ship. 4 main dining rooms to choose from. A number of fun specialty restaurants. Great theater layout. Bars/lounges, especially Eden were fun and interesting to be in and relax in. Service was same as expected on Celebrity, in fact appeared to be more service personnel. Never waited for drinks. Had Infinite Balcony SR. Realize some didn’t like not stepping ‘outside’ on a veranda, but we found the design to extend the SR more and we loved the openness for the entire SR. Most other ship balconies have overhangs and separations on the sides, so didn’t see the Infinite design as a negative.....for us. One recommendation: get a bed near the bathroom which then gives you more room when open the Infinite balcony up. But some like their bed near the open area, so just depends. The one negative was the App. Needs major work to be more useful. I’ll follow with specifics. We did a 2-week back-to-back, so it was great fun exploring the 1st week then going more in depth the 2nd.

Departure: Stayed one night prior at the Homewood Suites which gives you ‘free’ 1 week parking. Recommend Not using their shuttle to/back from the port. Use a taxi/Uber. The shuttle was more expensive and went to a number of hotels, so a 10min trip took 25min Minimum. From Pier 25, as extensively reported before, a great departure setup. Lots of room and excellent facilities and handling. Took less than 20min to checkin and get aboard. Allowed to go to rooms to drop off carry-ons, then off to explore. Sit down lunch avail for Concierge and above. Into rooms by 1pm.

SR: As stated in Summary, had an Infinite SR and loved it. More private than a standard balcony, and it extends the SR area so you can have a few couples over in a standard SR. I don’t sit on a balcony for sunning, so liked the Infitine more. No chance of nosy neighbors peaking in (yup, seen it done); no noise from other SRs; enough openness to enjoy the outdoors. Very comfortable beds. Lots of storage. Smaller cubicles, but lots of them. Smaller closet to hang things, but more than enough. I use to hang up things on others ships just to use the space. Nice BR - Glass shower door with good room.
