my husband and i have cruised 20 times with celebrity, always a great experience. when we heard about the new ship of course we wanted to cruise on it. this cruise coinsided with our 45th anniversary which made it all the more special. what can we say the ship, the service, the food, the butterflies on the ceiling of my room (a great "special" from our butler and stewart for our anniversary) were great. the ship is very different from all the other celebrity ships....very contemporary decor, some not so confortable seating, but on the other hand there was EDEN where you can sit and watch the sea go by or have a drink with other cruisers and watch a contempoary dance show.....we liked the ship....depending on its (or the new APEX ships) itinerary we would definaely sail on it again....one small complaint we have is ...my husband had skin cancer (like many people his age) suite guests have access to the retreat, a beautiful top of the ship private area with its own pool, bar and reclining lounges BUT no shade.... except by the suites on the inside of the public spaces...like sitting in a hallway....the ship needs some shades on those cabanas, and the bar area...otherwise fantastic space.
perfect
fort lauderdale (port everglades) is a great place to stay pre-cruise. we stayed at the embassys suites (almost around the corner from the cruise port) great places to eat there.
