I want to start this off by saying that this was our first cruise. We sailed with friends who have cruised several times previous and so we had expectations of what we would experience. We were super excited for this cruise, and were really amped for the experience. We did book through a travel agent, so I can't comment on ease of booking because we had a fantastic agent who took care of everything and was really awesome at communicating the process.

Boarding (embarkation?): SLOWWWW and long LONG lines, bring your patience and your comfy shoes. This took absolutely forever. The staff guiding us to where we needed to go during this process was, however, very pleasant and helpful. I was not ready for a photographer when we waked onto the gangway, but I'll chalk that one up to rookie ignorance.

Ship: First impression was that the ship was clean, but dated interior. Smelled TERRIBLE like cigarettes when we got on. There were several black marks on the walls etc., and it seemed like everything we touched was sticky... but to be fair, we are cruising at spring break time and kids are messy. Thank goodness for the abundance of hand washing stations!!

Cabin: When we were finally able to get into our cabins around 5pm, it was about what we expected, I think. I had done a lot of youtubing on this ship, so the cabin was no surprise. What we later discovered, however, was that literally everything in this cabin rattled. Bring paper with you to stick in places to stop the rattling. We also had a broken cabinet door that rattled and swung around. Shower and toilet area are small and odd with no privacy, but not a big deal. What was a big deal was that our shower leaked when we used it and flooded our floor. We called maintenance which took forever and they did something to fix the shower and stuck a big fan in our room and left it there for two days. I finally couldn't take the noise of it anymore, though our carpet wasn't dry, and set it back out in the hallway where it sat for another whole day. Fun stuff.

The bed was another situation, terribly uncomfortable, we didn't expect luxury, but I also didn't expect a thin pad on a steel mesh frame. Killer on my back, and my husband's shoulders.

Port Reviews

Tortola

Very short zip line that just went back and forth, rude staff yelling at everyone, and we had to wait forever for the tour van to come back. The tour was nice, though.

St. Thomas

I was really surprised there were kids on this, the tour was fun, the music and staff were on point, and the rum punch was good stuff. Had a great time!

Great Stirrup Cay

Tendering was poorly organized at best. not enough seating for a boat this large, food was good, bars had a long wait.
