MSC Poesia is a beautiful and very clean ship. We boarded around 2:30 pm on 3/27/10, you can board the ship at 12:00 noon but when we called MSC we were told that you could not board until 2:00 pm. Check in went quick, very organized. Once on the ship they had a table to register the kids and get identity bands. Finding our cabin was easy and the staff seemed willing to assist in this process. Cabins and the bathrooms are very small. Bath Towels are large and fluffy, the ship provides hand soap, bath soap and shampoo but getting an empty container is refilled is impossible. Balcony is small has 2 chairs and a small table. Cabin has two mirrors one at the end of the bed about 8x6 and one over the desk, this was weird but made the small cabin look larger. Dinner on day one was casual, food is OK, minimal choices only 3 main courses to pick from. Pick the Italian food as it seems to be the best. The Buffet was open for dinner and the buffet offers the same menu as the main dining room. Early dinner in the Caribbean is 5:30 and late is 8:00 pm, doors close 10 min after dining time. BEWARE that buffet is not open every day we missed dinner on the first formal night thought we could go to the buffet but it was not open. You do not receive a lot of information on the ship. Never was offered coffee at dinner, one night the table next to mine and I ordered wine the lady and the next table sipped wine and said this is not what she ordered, the waiter picked up her wine and gave it to me...The guest who received the original wine came to my table and informed me she drank from the glass had a cold and informed me not to drink the wine. Day 2: Breakfast at the buffet is crowded, go past main buffet to rear of the ship that buffet is not as crowded. No Omelet or fresh cooked egg station available for breakfast. Lunch buffet very crowded, no grill available.

Pools: very crowded they jam pool chairs in every available space so it is difficult to walk around the pool deck. I sat at the pool deck for 2 hours and was never ask if I wanted a drink. The pool chairs are different they have a movable cover to shield the sun. Very poor service at the pool. The pool and hot tubs close daily at 7:00pm.

Pizza Bar: Pizza is OK, but check times because open different times daily. Sushi: They run a special daily, all you can eat sushi is $ 28.00 per person, sushi was good but 2 people in our party got sick after eating the sushi. Service is very slow took 1 1/2 hour to get served.
