Took family to see the Caribbean. Returned from our seven day cruise on the Norwegian Epic Saturday and it was truly an epic failure. Right from the beginning it was off to a bad start and it never recovered. We were hours late boarding and not one offer of an apology or explanation. The ship could have been so majestic but it really isn’t taken care of. It’s filthy and things are broken and rundown all over the ship. Drink stations were not kept supplied and never kept with ice. However, the bars were running over with ice. The glasses were small juice glasses and I don’t know how people are to stay hydrated with 3 ounces of warm water at a time. The workers throughout the ship continued to display a lack of regard for its passengers. Aside from a handful of employees (wakie, wakie, happy, happy, washie, washie) the ships moral is horrid. They could use a good dose of customer service training. No information is made available as to how to go about doing most anything and the customer service desk doesn’t have a clue as to how to help, nor do they want to. We were berated at the hostess desk the first night at dinner because they didn’t have our dinner reservations that had been made in November. However, we were told that just once we would be offered a favor and be allowed to dine. Favor? WOW! I’m going to do Norwegian a favor and never book another cruise with them again nor will I recommend them to anyone I know. We will continue to sail with Disney as we do every year because they know how to keep a ship, ship shape, clean, not rundown or broken and their customer service is superb. They all greet you with a smile and the novel notion of knowing how to make you feel like a valued customer. I guess you get what you pay for but Norwegian was almost as much as we spend on a Disney cruise.
Poorly maintained and the carpet is disgusting.
Just ok. Food was horrible and no way to stay hydrated.
