We chose this cruise because we love the itinerary and wanted to try the Norwegian Escape. We have done two cruises on the Dawn and six on the Gem. There were almost twice as many passengers aboard than what we were used to. Things moved along at the NYC terminal very quickly to our surprise. It was a bit intimidating doing the muster drill in the atrium due to the crowds and it was quite warm. There was an adjustment period the first day because of the pool and restaurants being on different decks than we were used to. By the next morning we began our love affair with the Escape. Three main complementary dining rooms and a very nice area on deck 17 is call Spice H20 which is great for reading on the loungers and relatively quiet. There is also a huge movie screen that shows films under the stars on a few nights. The food was superior to the other Norwegian ships we've cruised with previously. Every member of the crew was friendly and greeted us with a smile.
We loved the layout of our inside stateroom. Plenty of space to store clothing. The bathroom was plenty large and nothing cramped including the toilet area. Personally, we prefer an inside stateroom since it is so dark. We sleep better than at home! The beds were very comfortable.
