This was our second Norwegian cruise. First was on the Getaway (which I loved mainly for the additional outdoor space on the lower decks). I was a little worried leading up to this cruise because of all the negative reviews. My parents were on the Epic for 11 days in January and had no complaints, which made me feel a lot better. There main suggestion was if there was a show you really wanted to see ,that you should show up 15-20 min before show starts, which proved to be true in most cases. Entertainment on the ship is very good. The Epic Beatles are a must see! Overall our experience on the Epic was very good.

Cabin: Most reviews about the cabin are spot on, however it did not affect us at all. The lighting above sink is very poor and the bed a little short. The shower and toilet setup are unusual but not a deal breaker. Use the curtain and a courtesy flush (to cover "sounds") if needed. There is a ton of storage and balcony was spacious compared to the Getaway. Room was always clean.

Drinks: (Ultimate drink package) We never waited more than 10 minutes for a drink anywhere! Most of the time it was just few minutes or less. Tip: take advantage of the portable carts at pools (which can make just about everything the main bars make) or even better take advantage of the servers around the pool decks. They were excellent and we used them a lot on sea days. The bartenders may not make "eye contact" but are very good at knowing who's up next.
