There was a huge delay leaving port the first night. For some reason the water was turned off and the toilets did not flush. There was NO explanation for this. I heard other people talking about it so I know it was not just a fluke in our cabin. It was the beginning of what I learned to be very poor communication on this ship.
The disembarkation process was a nightmare, and inexcusable. I could have organized it more efficiently, and I’m not in the business. People were cutting in lines where we had waited for over an hour. People were yelling at each other. Some were panicking because they were going to miss their flights. We heard countless times from the cruise director about a “slight” delay. If that was slight, I can’t imagine Notwegian’s definition of “lengthy”. I hate being lied to and I was lied to throughout the disembarkation process. We were at least 2 hours late leaving the ship and there were many behind us still waiting. I have to say all of our “relaxation” and contentedness was destroyed during the process!
The Chinese restaurant is one I would never return to if it were next door. The food was cold when served. I don’t mean warm; I mean cold. The fried dumplings were not fried. The egg rolls were filled with nothing but cabbage and were tasteless. The noodle bowl was dry, tasteless and had 4 tiny shrimp and 3 tiny morsels of chicken. I left hungry and disappointed.
