Our cruise was miserable from the moment we got to the port until we left the ship. It took us two hours to board the ship because the cruise before ours was taking too long to exit. Once we got on the ship we were all sent to deck 15 because none of the rooms were ready. Our ship was due to sail at 4pm but we did not leave Port until 11:15 PM. Somewhere between five and 530 there was an announcement letting us know that there was a medical emergency and that’s what the delay was. There was never any other communication about the delay until the following day when the staff apologized for their lack of communication. Our first port was Great Stirrup Cay but the captain informed us of the weather was too bad and so we were going to have to skip that part for our safety. I hardly believe that since we were seven hours and 15 minutes late he had a lot of time to catch up for so that we could stay on schedule. I firmly believe that the eight hours they made up by not stopping there kept him on schedule and that they lied about the weather conditions. That first evening or water was shut off for a while, when it did come back on it came out a muddy brown and had to run for about five minutes before it finally cleared. We had a balcony cabin that was OK but the people next to me were constantly outside smoking pot and nothing was ever done about it. The elevators were a nightmare! If you were lucky enough to get an elevator you were packed in there like a sardine. We had booked a tour for when we got to Orlando and after the tour they were to take us to the airport two days before the tour we got a notice on our door that due to lack of interest to tour was canceled and we were to come to guest services to arrange for transportation to the airport. We got to guest services and they told us sorry all transportation to the airport is booked. Wasn’t that great now we had no transportation. We never ate at any of the specialty restaurants I’m sure the food would’ve been good but I heard a lot of complaints that people couldn’t get reservations because they were already booked. As far as the free dining options go I was not that impressed, it was the same kind of food I could get a Denny’s. When it was time to exit the ship it took us 3 1/2 hours! They wound us around from Florida floor through stairway is trying to get us off! You would think a ship that has been in service since 2010 could figure out how to get passengers off in a timely manner! I would not recommend either Norwegian Cruise lines or the Norwegian epic.
