After a few days, the design flaws really showed up. With only one show lounge, activities like any form of dance instruction we relegated to the central piazza. Participating in these venues meant being on full public display and the lack of a stage and screens for the instructors made the process unenjoyable. The Princess Live venue is just a lecture theatre with terrible short squab seating. As usual, the Princess theatre was packed for the early show, again an oversight in design. Even the Vista lounge is poorly designed and appears to hold less people, it also has no bar. Shopping outlets are rewarded with huge spaces as are the Art sales. Overall the food offerings were of a good standard in the main dining areas but the Horizon Court rarely met expectations with much of the food being displayed being very tepid. Princess simply failed to enforce good hygeine standards with lip service being paid to proper santatiin for all. Quite a few times we arrived lat and left early for port days, weather caused us to miss a port and administrative ineptitude meant that most Beaunos Aires tours were cancelled due to an almost 9 hour tardiness in arrival. Simply, the schedule was too tight to allow for any catching up. Of course, there were rusted on Royal fans but we will not be among them.
Cabin was typical of most Princess ships. Small balcony, divan & desk, small bathroom. Large T.V. with live and on demand. Cabin was converted to medallion during the voyage, mine did not work and really, it seems like a pointless exercise. Removing opportunities for staff/passenger interactions cannot ever improve the cruise experience.
