6 months ago, my wife and I just cruised wth MCS Sinfonia; cruising Italy, Greece and Croatia and had the best time! When we heard that their brand new ship MSC Bellissima was making its first splash...we wanted to be a part of it! Celebrating my 60th bday, I asked my brother and sis in law to join us and they happily obliged. First of all, we all believed that pricing was fair. Check in was easy and quick... the only thing I felt uncomfortable was there was not a separate gangway for YC passengers so we had to follow our butler as he squeezed through the line of others boarding. Other than that, our butler, Edwin Garcia from Honduras, was just so charming and accommodating! The Sky Lounge bartenders Gerry and Jason and servers Irina and Ramses were just the friendliest and the most hard working crew members! We bought a package of 4 dining experiences and over all they was great. Our least favorite was the Tapas bar as we just had best ones in Barcelona. But the Japanese and the steakhouse were terrific. I do have to say that I am a bit miffed to find out that there were extra charges when I checked out... when every time we dined at all specialty restaurants, we specifically mentioned that we were on the special package. I didn't bother complaining at that point as I was ready to disembark and it was probably less than 100 Euros in difference. The suite was fantastic and the bed was comfortable and the towel were white as white can be. The concept of free minibar is something new to me and I swear I did not use anything at all from the fridge! Don't ask me why! Entertainment with CDS's Syma was fantastic, and we've seen major CDS shows here in the US. The regular entertainment and live bands were not as good as our first cruise with Sinfonia I'm afraid. The bands and singers were better at the Sinfonia. But being pampered at the Yacht Club is truly a great experience and I am sure we will be cruising MSC again. We've cruised Princess, Holland America, Royal Caribbean and others but we feel that MSC offers great things for the money you pay. It was a brand new ship and of course there are growing pains as the crew becomes familiar with their territories and their duties. But overall... a wonderful experience I look forward to doing over again and again.
Soft white towels and the bed was firm yet comfortable. Room appointment was space having of course we missed the walk in closet we had with the MSC Sinfonia... we had to store our luggages in the closet which towards the end we realized we should've put them under the bed.
We hired a limo (Astarita Cars) and saw Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. Excellent choice for us.
